At the Law Office of Anthony D. Zinnantii, we make fees affordable by keeping costs down by using technology to streamline legal proceedings. We understand that legal fees can seem formidable. As well, the client rarely knows what they are getting for their money before engaging a lawyer. Therefore, we openly discuss the matter, invite questions about fees and justify the fees that we bill. Standard Hourly Rate: Our standard hourly rate is $275 per hour billed at the industry standard of "tenths of an hour." One-tenth of an hour is six minutes. However, most matters are billed according to a standard estimate of time in the Client's favor. We also maintain time sheets for flat fee case so the Client may review the work done on the case. Hourly fees are billed against a retainer deposited with our office. Clients billed on an hourly basis receive a timesheet outlining time expended on the case at every billing cycle. Hourly fees are typically the basis for working with trial counsel on a matter. Flat Fees: We also work on a flat fee basis. All criminal and appellate matters (criminal and civil appeals) are handled on a flat fee basis. For example, we may handle an appeal for a fee of $12,500; such fee including all briefing, appearances, motions for stay orders and bond, augmentation in the Court of Appeal, etc. The following are the flat fee ranges charged for specific proceedings: - Preparation of California gubernatorial pardon request $1,000 to $2,500 - Superior Court expungement petition $1,250 (includes appearance fee) - Law and motion, post-conviction or post-trial $800 to $2,000 depending on complexity - Limited scope representation appearance $500 (LA County) and $600 (out of county)
Modular Fees: Modular fees are fees paid per section of the case. Modular fees are flat fees for a portion of the case. For example, a Client may retain the Law Offices of Anthony D. Zinnanti, APLC, to review the transcript of a trial for evaluation of possible issues on appeal. Rather than investing in the entire appeal, the client can become educated on their case by beginning with only the portion related to review of the transcript. Any retainer agreement will clearly state the scope of attorney involvement. Fee calculation for appeals: Fees for appeals and post-conviction matters are based upon the length and seriousness of the underlying proceeding (pre-trial and trial) along with the complexity of potential issues. Every case is reviewed individually regarding fees. Call for a free 30 minute telephonic consultation. Payment forms: We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards. |
