Erin Everett is a Senior Associate at ADZ Law, LLP. She has been advocating for survivors of domestic violence for nearly twenty years, a commitment that began prior to her legal career and continues to guide her approach to family law. Erin brings twelve years of legal experience to the firm, including nine years focused exclusively on family law. Her practice includes child custody and visitation disputes, domestic violence restraining orders, divorce and dissolution matters, parentage actions, and child and spousal support. Erin’s work is grounded in a trauma-informed perspective, and she is known for her calm and collaborative presence, strategic advocacy, and dedication to supporting her clients’ safety, stability, and long-term wellbeing.

Before joining ADZ Law, Erin served as a Senior Staff Attorney at Bay Area Legal Aid, where she litigated complex custody and domestic violence cases and coordinated and supervised the Domestic Violence Restraining Order Clinics in Contra Costa County. One of her most rewarding cases, Erin successfully applied for a Hague Child Abduction relief for a client, resulting the return of her children who had been kidnapped and taken to Costa Rice.

From 2020 to 2021, Erin served as the Director of Family Law at the Contra Costa Superior Court, where she supported court operations and access to justice during the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier in her career, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Darleen Ortega and Chief Judge Rick Haselton at the Oregon Court of Appeals, and to the Honorable William Q. Hayes of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.

Erin earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (formerly Boalt Hall), and her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Before attending law school, Erin worked at a nonprofit agency in North Lake Tahoe serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.
