Kaumron Khorrami is a family law and domestic violence attorney with a compassionate, trauma-informed practice serving the San Francisco Bay Area. Kaumron is a certified domestic violence counselor dedicated to supporting survivors of family violence and intimate partner violence as they navigate complicated legal processes, which are often made more difficult by perpetrators of abuse. He is especially passionate about supporting parents through difficult transitions and working with LGBTQ+ individuals and their families.

He prioritizes collaboration, safety, and empowerment, so his clients understand all of their options and feel in control of their cases. This approach stems from his childhood experiences with family courts and an early career experience assisting self-represented litigants at his local family law self-help center. He also brings an understanding of corporate structures and financial concerns that may arise in high-asset divorce and support cases from his background as a commercial litigator.

Kaumron earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was co-president of the Middle Eastern and North African Law Students Association, managing editor of the Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review, and a teaching fellow and academic advisor for undergraduate students at Harvard College. He earned his B.A. summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, with highest departmental honors.

As part of his legal training, Kaumron clerked with the Family Violence Appellate Project, a nonprofit dedicated to helping domestic violence survivors and their children appeal dangerous trial court rulings in California and Washington. This work gave him a deep understanding of how judges across California approach cases involving domestic violence and reinforced his commitment to finding creative legal solutions for his clients and their families. He also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Kimberly S. Budd, the Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Court.

Before joining ADZ Law, LLP, Kaumron was a litigation associate at Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP, a leading international law firm, where his practice focused on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation across state, federal, and appellate courts. His work included hearing and trial preparation, witness and deposition preparation, substantive briefing, large-scale discovery, and case management. He also kept an active pro bono practice, serving as an advocate for survivors seeking domestic violence restraining orders and representing a family law client in her appeal of an erroneous custody order.
